This online tool provides a standardized form/format for the requestor to use to specify the specific information AT&T needs to effectively complies with the subpoena request. Once the form is completed, it is fed near real-time to AT&T and is held pending receipt of the actual subpoena request. Once the actual subpoena is received and authenticated by the AT&T Subpoena Center, certain elements of the process are mechanized so that the requested records are accurately and quickly produced and forwarded to the requesting party.
Subpoenas submitted online will have an expedited processing timeframe. AT&T charges a processing fee, where applicable.

IMPORTANT: If this online tool is used, the actual subpoena should be FAX'd to (248) 552-3233 regardless of location or type.
The AT&T family of companies honors properly-served subpoenas, and remind all subpoena issuers that the rules regarding method of service vary from state to state, and from criminal to civil. AT&T companies reserve the right to refuse subpoenas from those senders who do not follow the applicable rules regarding method of service.
AT&T does not accept service of subpoenas at any AT&T Retail Store
or other AT&T Office location. AT&T companies occupy many buildings, however mailing and/or personal delivery of subpoenas to locations other than official subpoena processing centers risks delay and/or rejection.
Where to send an AT&T Mobility or Telco Subpoena Request: AT&T's preferred method of service for criminal and civil for AT&T Mobility and Telco account information is via fax to the appropriate fax number.
Where to send AT&T Internet Subpoena Requests: Internet subpoenas should be served in a legally permissible manner through our registered agent, CT Corporation.
Registered Agent: AT&T does not require civil subpoenas for AT&T Mobility and/or Telco account information be served via a Registered Agent. Criminal and civil subpoenas for AT&T Mobility and/or Telco account information should be faxed to the appropriate AT&T Subpoena fax number.
AT&T Entity Names: AT&T requests that the subpoena be addressed to the proper legal entity.
Customer Notification: It is AT&T's policy to attempt to notify our subscriber upon receipt of a civil subpoena demand for their account information. AT&T‘s notification is generally made via U.S. mail to the current account billing address on file. There is a 2 week wait period before disclosure of their information is made.
In the event our customer objects to the disclosure, AT&T will advise the customer that the information will be disclosed unless AT&T is in receipt of a document seeking a court approved protective order or similar protection prior to the date on which AT&T must legally comply with the demand.
A signed Customer Declaration form should accompany the Subpoena in those cases where customer notification requirements have already been satisfied by the requesting party/agency. In these situations that signed Customer Declaration process fulfils AT&T Customer Notification requirement and the two week wait period is waived.

Rates apply to criminal, civil, and administrative subpoenas for AT&T Mobility accounts, personnel records and other third party subpoenas. Exceptions to this pricing structure exist where there are specific statutes governing rates.
Note: Repeat issuers of numerous, particularly burdensome and/or improper subpoenas are charged additional fees.
